(1 day – Group tour, departing with 2 or more guests)
08:00 – 08:30: Pick up guests at their hotel/meeting point in downtown Hue, then depart for A Luoi, located about 80 km from the city center. En route, the group will stop for photos at a historical monument marking the administrative boundary between Huong Tra and A Luoi districts. From here, visitors will gradually enter the pristine mountain forests as the journey traverses the majestic Truong Son Range. Upon arrival in A Luoi town, visitors will explore historical exhibition areas and scenic hilltop check-in spots reminiscent of Dalat’s landscapes. The group will admire the majestic beauty of the mountains and forests, as well as the winding mountain passes leading up to A Luoi.
Afternoon: Guests will have time to relax and enjoy local specialties featuring wild forest vegetables.
1:00 PM: The group continues to visit A So Airport (or A Sầu) in A Lưới, an important historical site that once served as a U.S. airstrip during the war. It was the site of many fierce battles and a collection point for the toxic chemical dioxin. Now largely decontaminated, it has become a national historical site, commemorating the bravery of our soldiers and people during the resistance war.
Afterward, the group visits A Biah Hill (Hamburger Hill) in the A Sầu Valley, also known as Hill 937. This was once a fierce battlefield, the site of one of the most brutal battles during the war against the
U.S. Thousands of tons of bombs and ammunition, along with dozens of days of fighting, transformed a lush green hill into a devastated landscape, with uprooted trees and crisscrossing bomb craters. The remaining traces not only tell of a brutality beyond imagination but also serve as a vivid testament to the resilience of the soldiers who held their ground on this high ground. Visitors can follow the old trails to see the fortifications, bomb craters, and other remnants of the battlefield. The majestic mountain scenery evokes a profound sense of the nation’s painful past.
4:00 PM – 4:30 PM: The group returns to the original pickup point. Farewell to our guests. End of the program. Thank you and see you again!
